Heavy snowfall in the north and extreme winds in the south are in the forecast for overnight and tomorrow (Tues). Environment Canada meteorologist, Terri Lang, says the North Battleford, Meadow Lake, Prince Albert, Melfort, Nipawin and Hudson Bay regions could receive 20 to 30 centimetres of snow over that period. In the meantime, areas south of a line from Kindersley to Regina will have less snow, but could experience wind gusts exceeding 100 kilometres an hour on Tuesday.
In the Saskatoon area, 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is possible, with wind gusts possibly reaching 80 kilometres an hour. You can expect very low visibility in blowing snow for most areas of the province on Tuesday.
