A Saskatchewan M-L-A says Premier Scott Moe wants her to stay in caucus while she deals with assault charges.
Nadine Wilson faces two counts of assault, but the charges are headed to a mediation hearing — not criminal court.
Wilson stepped down from cabinet, but told reporters at the Saskatchewan Party convention in Regina yesterday that she is still in caucus while the court matter is pending because the premier wishes her to.
Moe said at the convention that Wilson has been in caucus since 1999 and has maintained her innocence with respect to the charges.
If the mediator decides a solution can be found, the assault charges against Wilson will be withdrawn.
