The seven-day average for new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan is below 100 for the first time in more than three months.
Friday’s dashboard readings from the provincial government website had 89 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the fourth time in the last five days that there has been fewer than 100 new cases, dropping the seven-day average to 97. Add in 83 recoveries and three new COVID-19-related deaths and Saskatchewan’s active case count rose slightly from Thursday to 1,102. Of the active cases, 157 individuals are hospitalized, including 39 infections being treated in an I-C-U. One out-of-province I-C-U patient has been returned to Saskatchewan since Thursday, leaving 10 provincial residents being treated for the virus in an outside jurisdiction. In addition, there were 1,644 COVID-19 tests performed on Thursday while 2,032 doses of vaccine were administered with 1,514 being second shots.

- As of November 19th, there are 89 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 80,025 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (4), North Central (3), North East (1), Saskatoon (27), Central West (4), Central East (26), Regina (10), South West (2), South Central (2) and South East (6) zones and three (3) new cases have pending residence information.
- 14 cases with pending residence information were reassigned to North Central (from November 17 (3)), Saskatoon (from November 14 (1), November 16 (1)), Central West (from September 14 (1)), Central East (from November 15 (1), November 17 (2)), Regina (from November 14 (1), November 15 (1), November 17 (2)), and South Central (from November 17 (1)) zones.
- One case was removed from total case counts from Far North West zone (from November 15 (1)), 2021.
- 80,025 cases are confirmed.

- 1,102 cases are considered active and 78,015 cases are considered recovered.
- Over one-third (34.8%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39 years.
- Almost one-half (45.1%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.
- As of November 19th, a total of 157 individuals are hospitalized; including 118 inpatient hospitalizations, and 39 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 157 patients, 109 (69.4%) were not fully vaccinated.
- In addition to SK ICU counts, there are ten residents receiving out-of-province care in hospital. As these patients are receiving care out-of-province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard. Since yesterday’s report, there has been one repatriation.
- Three (3) new deaths reported today. 908 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,259,771 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 17, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,062,673 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 1,255,954 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 97 (8.0 new cases per 100,000).
