The Saskatchewan Roughriders released their roster and depth chart for Saturday’s visit to Steeltown.
There are 11 changes to the roster from last week’s win over Edmonton, including quarterback Cody Fajardo being among 10 of the 11 players transferred to the one-game injured list. The Green and White are going with Isaac Harker and Mason Fine at quarterback. Head coach Craig Dickenson confirmed that quarterback Paxton Lynch is unvaccinated. And that’s a part of why he’s not on the roster. Dickenson added that Lynch was okay with him sharing that info.
Elsewhere, Jamal Morrow starts at running back for William Powell. Josiah St. John is in at left guard for Logan Ferland while Cam Jefferson draws in for Saskatoon product Brett Boyko at right tackle. Meanwhile, there are three new linebackers as Justin Herdman-Reed, Michael Pinckney and Roland Milligan are listed as the starters. In addition, Elie Bouka is the starting safety. That means the Green and White are sitting…quarterback Cody Fajardo, running back William Powell, receiver Duke Williams, Boyko, defensive tackle Micah Johnson, safety Loucheiz Purifoy, linebackers Deon Lacey, Micah Teitz, Nigel Harris and A-J Hendy, plus defensive lineman Anthony Lanier. All are on the one-game injured list, except for Hendy who has been placed on the suspended list.
