Big River RCMP say there was a fatal accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the Big River First Nation at approximately 8:40 a.m. Monday.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene but there were no vehicles at the scene. The collision occurred just north of the Roman Catholic Church.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in finding a dark red vehicle seen in the area at the time the pedestrian was struck and killed.
