Big River RCMP responded to a report of a snowmobile having fallen through the ice on Young Loon Lake last Thursday.

The call came in around 7:45 p.m. November 25.

The police investigation determined a 40 year old man drove the snowmobile onto the lake and fell through the ice.

He was found in the water shortly afterwards and was pronounced dead on the scene.
