For the first time in nearly two years, the Saskatoon SPCA Auxiliary will be hosting an open house at the shelter on Clarence Avenue. The open house will take place on Sunday, December 5th from noon till 4 p.m. Auxiliary President, Janet Frayling says the event will include a bake sale, silent auction and raffle tickets. All proceeds from the open house will go towards the SPCA’s Second Chance Fund. Frayling says when an animal comes to the shelter, a certain amount of money is allocated to that animal. That’s why the Second Chance Fund is there to help cover the costs of additional surgeries and needs. Next Sunday’s open house will have tours every 30 minutes to visit and see the animals. Proof of vaccination is required to attend and anyone looking to make a donation of baking can do so by dropping it off at the shelter before noon on Sunday, December 5th.
