Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at a home on the Kawacatoose First Nation Friday morning around 8:30. Officers report the man was transported to hospital in Saskatoon, where he died that evening.

A second man at the scene was arrested and transported to hospital in Regina for treatment of injuries and later released. Police have since charged 32 year old Eric Charles Favel from the Kawacatoose First Nation with second degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.
