A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a long string of commercial break and enters, targeting retail outlets primarily in the downtown core area of North Battleford.
R-C-M-P in that city arrested 36-year-old Eugene Bear and charged him with eight counts of break and enter and commit theft, four counts of break and enter with the intent to commit theft and one count of breach of a release order. The incidents started in April of this year with the last one happening in October. All businesses targeted by Bear suffered property damage and often resulted in merchandise loss. Bear appeared Tuesday in North Battleford Provincial Court and was remanded in custody until his next appearance on December 16.
