A man and woman from Regina are facing charges that include armed robbery using a firearm and forcible confinement in connection to a police investigation that began early Monday morning. Around 12:30 a.m., Regina Police officers responded to the 2700 block of 5th Avenue. A 26 year old man said he had been held against his will and repeated assaulted by two people he knows, and he was robbed.

It’s alleged the events happened at a home in the 700 block of Rae Street, so several officers went to that location and took 30 year old Vanessa Okemaysim and 31 year old Wesley Taypotat into custody without incident, and they were later charged. The victim was take to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
