Saskatchewan RCMP say one person has been charged after a semi truck hauling hay collided with a school bus.

The accident happened near Flintoft which is about 46 kilometres southwest of Assiniboia. It happened around 8:15 a.m. on December 2 which was last Thursday. The semi truck left the scene.

Assiniboia RCMP report there were children on the bus at the time along with the driver and no injuries were reported.

The driver of the semi-truck called Assiniboia Detachment after the accident.

As a result, the driver of the semi has been charged with one count Drive Without Due Care and Attention.
