Bailey Peepeetch is accused in the death of a one year old girl and he was given a new court date, this time for a preliminary hearing.

The 21 year old was originally charged with Aggravated Assault when he was arrested on October 7th of last year.

The charge was upgraded to Manslaughter when the girl died two days later. Police describe the death as the city’s 11th homicide of 2020.

EMS advised police that the child’s injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.

Peepeetch will be back in Regina court February 14th for a preliminary hearing.
