A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by the International CCS Knowledge Centre in Regina and Japan CCS Company, to collaborate on accelerating the use and understanding of carbon capture utilization and storage. The province says carbon capture storage and utilization has been recognized by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change as a necessary technology to meet global climate change goals. The MOU signals a path forward to collaborate in the development, demonstration and deployment of the technology.
