Thursday afternoon, Canadian Blood Services workers will be picketing in front of the Saskatoon office on Emerson Avenue, just south of 8th Street, urging for their employer to bargain in good faith.

The President of SEIU-West says because of CBS’s refusal to do so, employees in Saskatchewan have been without a contract for over four years.

Barb Cape believes a safe and secure supply of Canadian blood products depends on safe and secure jobs, and says, “CBS has chosen to frustrate and delay bargaining with roadblock after roadblock. Our members feel it’s time the public knows what kind of mess this is causing.”

Picketing is scheduled for between 1pm and 3pm on Thursday.
