Northern Saskatchewan Residents Urged to Get Vaccinated

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is urging residents in northern Saskatchewan to get their vaccinations and booster shots when eligible.

The SHA says data from the month of November shows that ICU admissions are approximately four times higher among the unvaccinated compared to fully vaccinated residents.

There are over 375 booked appointments available between December 22 to January 2 in northern Saskatchewan. Walk in clinics are also available in 14 communities. Currently, all residents aged five and older are eligible for first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

All residents aged 18 and older are eligible for a booster dose at least three months following the second dose of a two-dose vaccine, or two months following the administration of a single-dose vaccine.
