A 33-year-old man from the Muscowpetung First Nation faces two charges in Regina following a pair of hit and run incidents on Wednesday evening.

At about 8 p.m. on December 22, Regina Police officers were sent to the 400 block of Lorne Street regarding a hit and run involving a pick-up truck. A minute or so later, a second collision was reported at Albert Street and 4th Avenue North. It was determined the same pick-up truck was involved with witnesses at the second location telling officers that the driver struck a parked S-U-V, with four occupants, in the parking lot of a business at that location. One of the parked S-U-V occupants struck by the pick-up was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Jonas Andrew Bellegarde was arrested on the scene. He was also taken to hospital after sustaining a Lower Body injury due to the second collision. Bellegarde will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on February 8, facing charges of dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm and failure to stop after accident.
