Just before 8 o’clock on the morning on December 21st, Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of a firearm being discharged at a home on the Island Lake First Nation. Police say an injured man was found inside.

Police searched the area but weren’t able to locate the vehicle that was reported to be involved. Then around noon that same day, Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of an injured man inside a vehicle. Police say the vehicle was located on a snowy, remote road. Due to the road conditions, police had to transport the injured man to the main road to receive medical attention.

Police are searching for Kashtin Sandfly in connection to the incident. A warrant for his arrest has been issued. He is described as 5 foot 10, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, He also has multiple tattoos on his face and neck including star tattoos around the right eye, a bird tattoo on the right side of his neck and the work “Loyalty” tattooed above his left eyebrow.

Sandlfly may be armed and considered dangerous so police ask you not to approach Sandfly if you see him. Anyone information can be directed to the Loon Lake detachment.
