From Friday (Dec 24) until and including Monday, the Government of Saskatchewan is not updating the COVID-19 dashboard to report new cases.

On Tuesday December 28, the website will include a total accumulated number of positive cases over the four-day period as well as a breakdown of cases by day.

The website and dashboard will also not be updated on the New Year’s weekend and government statutory holiday January 1 to January 3 inclusive. The website and dashboard will resume with total accumulated numbers and breakdown of cases by day on January 4, 2022.

The Government of Saskatchewan says, as the Omicron variant marches across the country, that this province is the only province other than Ontario that provides comprehensive COVID data updates seven days a week. All other provinces and territories do not report COVID updates on weekends.

Breaking the province’s all-time record for the fourth day in a row, the update from the B.C. Ministry of Health confirmed a total of 2,441 new infections Christmas Eve.

The province of Manitoba reported 742 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, it’s the highest single-day case count since the beginning of the pandemic.

At 611, for the first time in more than a week, Nova Scotia is not reporting a record single-day high and the province is renewing its state of emergency, taking affect at noon on Sunday, Dec. 26.

Alberta and Quebec are  also not releasing daily case numbers until next week, meanwhile, Ontario reported 9,571 cases of COVID-19 on Friday which is the most ever reported in a single day.
