Humboldt RCMP say a woman driving an SUV and a man driving a car were pronounced deceased at the scene of an accident on Boxing Day.

The call came in around 4:15 p.m. of a two vehicle accident approximately three kilometres south of Lake Lenore on Highway #368. A car and an SUV had collided on the roadway.

Three passengers in the SUV were taken to hospital with injuries. RCMP say all individuals involved are from the Humboldt area.

Highway 368 was closed for the Collision Reconstructionist to investigate but reopened on Monday. The Humboldt Fire Department assisted in the accident.
