The return from the Christmas break for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League will have to wait one day.
Due to COVID-19 concerns with at least two of four teams, the Thursday game between Weyburn at Estevan has been postponed to a later date, as well as their return match on Saturday in Weyburn. In addition, the home-and-home series between La Ronge and Flin Flon has been postponed. Those games were to have been played Friday in Flin Flon and Saturday in La Ronge. In a news release, the S-J-H-L says, “Players may have been in close contact with positive COVID-19 cases and as a precautionary measure the postponements will provide more time for extra testing to ensure the safety and health of everyone and the return to the communities. New dates have yet to be determined.” There are two games still slated to be played Friday and Saturday in the S-J-H-L.
