Battlefords RCMP say when they arrived at a fire in an apartment building on the 1400 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford, the building was fully engulfed in fire.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services, other area fire departments and local EMS also responded.

Residents evacuated the building and a number of them were taken to hospital with injuries. RCMP do not have updates on their conditions.

Battlefords RCMP are currently working to confirm the safety of all building residents. If you know someone who lives in this complex and have NOT yet spoken to police, they are asked to contact RCMP.

The initial investigation indicates the fire may be suspicious and the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency fire investigators will now be assisting.
