“Winterruption 2022” and “Showcase 2022” have been postponed due to the recent rise of COVID-19 cases on the Prairies.

“Winterruption 2022” is a series of live shows put on by The Broadway Theatre. They are hoping to hold the live shows in the spring, but dates have not been finalized. However, organizers say “Winterruption Outdoor” will be held from Noon to 10 p.m. on January 29.

As for “Showcase 2022,” the event has been postponed for a third straight year by the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association. The event was scheduled for March 25-27 with the L-A-E-A striving to hold a better than ever “Showcase” in 2023.

In both instances, organizers felt the safety of their respective artists, patrons, attendees, volunteers and staff was critical and led to the decisions to postpone.
