RCMP have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Michael Gordon Jackson’s arrest. Police have charged Jackson with one count of abduction in contravention of custody or parenting order. In a news release issued Friday, the RCMP say investigators believe individuals may be assisting Jackson in evading from the police. Saskatchewan RCMP are also seeking the public’s help in locating his daughter, 7-year-old Sarah Jackson who is believed to be with him.
The wife of Jackson took her story to the media saying that he took their 7-year-old daughter.
Mariecar Jackson says she last saw her daughter mid-November. The Regina mother says that contact was by phone. She wanted her daughter vaccinated against COVID-19 and she says her husband did not.
Since an enforceable court order was issued earlier this month, investigators have followed up on several tips and reported sightings of Michael Gordon Jackson and Sarah Jackson. This has included reviewing surveillance video at multiple businesses, although no tips have led investigators to their whereabouts.
Jackson is described as 52-years-old, weighing approximately 250 pounds with blue eyes and dark brown hair. He typically wears glasses. He does not have a known vehicle. He resides in the Carievale, Saskatchewan area and may have connections to the communities of Dilke, Oxbow, Alameda, and Regina as well as Lamont, Alberta. However, RCMP say he may be in other communities.
7-year-old Sarah Jackson is described as Filipino/Caucasian, 4 feet 2 inches tall, 76 pounds with long, waist-length brown hair that is all one length with no bangs. She has brown/hazel-coloured eyes and last had teal-coloured eyeglasses that she wears most of the time.
Police say criteria at this time is not met for an Amber Alert which is why the RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the father and daughter.
