The Prince Albert Police Service will present a mixture of good and not-so-good news for the February 1st Prince Albert Board of Police Commissioners monthly meeting when it comes to 2021 statistics. The data shows the Police Service had an increasing number of calls for service and an upward trend in violence and property crime. At the same time, the P-A Police noted the lowest number of break and enters in five years. There were 418 reported break and enters in 2021, a decrease of just over 16 per cent from 2020. However, there were nine homicides last year with charges laid in seven of them while officers responded to just over 41,000 calls for service, an increase of 1.76 per cent over 2020.
