East-bound traffic along the Trans-Canada Highway west of Regina moved along at a snails pace for a fair chunk of Wednesday evening because of numerous motor vehicle collision complaints.
Between White Butte R-C-M-P and the Combined Traffic Services Section, officers responded at about 6:30 p.m. on January 26 to several vehicles colliding while a jack-knifed semi blocked the eastbound lane. Icy road conditions were determined to be the factor on Highway 1, just east of Belle Plaine, with no significant injuries reported. The highway was cleared and traffic resumed at about 9 p.m.
