Regina Police used a taser to arrest a 34-year-old man early this morning (sat) at a home in the 1100 block of Elliot Street. Police say around 1:45, they were called to the home after receiving a report that a man was inside threatening others with a knife. When officers arrived, the man allegedly barricaded himself in a bedroom. After a lengthy period of time, the man attempted to exit the home by going out the window, however officers entered the room and stopped the man from fleeing. After holding the knife to his throat and not listening to demands from police, a taser was used to safely gain control of the man. The 34 year-old was then taken to hospital before being transferred over to police. Charges are pending.
