A Thursday evening disturbance at a Meadow Lake apartment building resulted in four people arrested with weapons and methamphetamine seized.
At about 6:45 p.m. on January 27, Meadow Lake R-C-M-P responded to the disturbance report at a multi-unit dwelling on 6th Avenue West where it was determined a suspect entered the building and used bear mace on another individual, then entered one of the apartment units. Responding officers entered the unit shortly thereafter and arrested 28-year-old Kelsey Gladue of Meadow Lake, 28-year-old Owen Misponas of Beauval, 28-year-old Kenton Bouvier of Meadow Lake and 35-year-old Gerald Sinclair of Green Lake. At the time of the arrest, officers found an illegally-modified firearm in plain sight while one of the men apprehended had a small amount of methamphetamine. A subsequent search warrant turned up the illegally-modified firearm, ammunition, 56 grams of methamphetamine, bear mace, a baton and edged weapons plus an undisclosed sum of Canadian cash and drug paraphernalia. Each person faced the same 11 charges and were to appear in court in Meadow Lake Monday.
