Saskatchewan doctors are disappointed and alarmed with a letter written by Premier Scott Moe over the weekend.
Saskatchewan Medical Association President Dr. Eben Strydom says physicians are alarmed with Moe casting doubt on the effectiveness against vaccines and vaccinations against COVID-19. On Monday, Moe discussed the government’s intention to lift the proof of vaccination system in the not-too-distant future.
“Saskatchewan’s physicians are imploring the government to stay the course and mitigate the impact of the highly contagious Omicron variant,” Dr. Strydom added.
Dr. Strydom says Moe’s letter and comments couldn’t come at a worse time, adding that everyone in Saskatchewan should be doing all they can to drive down the hospitalization number, which was at a record 370 people as of Tuesday.
