A 27-year-old man from Punnichy has been arrested in connection with Regina’s fourth homicide of 2019.
Adam Taniskishayinew faces three charges including second degree murder.
Police say the body of a man was found inside a car by officers investigating a single vehicle collision at 5th Avenue and Lindsay Street last June.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Denny Troy Jimmy of Regina.
The investigation involving the Major Crimes Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s service led to Taniskishayinew’s arrest Wednesday in a closed-custody facility in Saskatoon.
He has made his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court.
