The award is called Legends Downtown and the inaugural event is this afternoon (Fri). The organization Downtown Saskatoon wants to highlight some of the downtown area greats. This year’s honourees are Dan Cardinal and the fashion power couple, Elwood and Joan Flynn.

Cardinal is a retired bell captain who worked at the Sheraton Cavalier for 50 years, and he is known for his warm greetings and interactions with guests. The Flynns are credited as fashion leaders in Canada, who have always been at the forefront of Saskatoon’s fashion scene.
