The Prince Albert Police Service say the missing person investigation into the disappearance of Byron Bear has become a homicide investigation.
A 23 year old man from Prince Albert was arrested Wednesday and charged with second degree murder.
On December 6, 2021, just after 4:00 a.m., police responded to the area of the 300 block of 9th Street East for a report of gun shots. When they arrived they found evidence of a serious assault but no victim.
The Prince Albert Police Service says it can now confirm that 27-year-old Byron Bear, who was reported missing by family on December 7th last year, is the victim of a homicide, which occurred at a home in the 300 Block of 9th street East.
The 23-year-old accused will make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial court this morning.
