Saskatoon Police say the Canine Unit, Air Support Unit and Patrol officers worked together to make an arrest after a stolen pick-up truck was spotted around 12:30 this morning (Frid).

Officers tried to pull the vehicle over near 11th Street West and Fairlight Drive but the driver fled reaching high speeds. The Air Support Unit followed it outside the city, notified Corman Park Police Service who successfully deployed a stud belt near Highway 60 and Township Road 354.

The lone driver, who had taken off on foot, was tracked and arrested by the Canine Unit.

A 35-year-old man is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Dangerous Driving, Evading Police, Operation of a Vehicle while Prohibited, and Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited.
