The City of Saskatoon has recovered more of the money lost in a scam that initially cost the city over a million dollars. Nearly $700 thousand that was directed to the fraudster’s bank account in August is back in the city’s hands. That’s about $300 thousand more than last month’s update. There is another court hearing on the matter scheduled for November 5th in Toronto. City Manager Jeff Jorgenson says they are optimistic that the remaining funds still frozen in several bank accounts will soon be returned to the city. The city says that any money not already returned to the city has been identified and locked down by the court.
