Prince Albert’s Mayor is disappointed with promises that haven’t come to fruition, when it comes to a warranty claim on its transit buses. In April of last year, the City’s fleet was taken off the road due to safety concerns following the discovery of cracks in the frames. Used buses from the school division were obtained as a temporary measure. Vincity Motor Corp is in the process of exploring a repair plan for the fleet.
Dionne says the schedule was expected in December, and more replacement buses were also expected. He adds that they are determined to take necessary action to protect the City’s interests, and there will more more to say on that soon. Three additional replacement buses recently arrived, with two already in service and the other will be ready next week.
