Forty-two Saskatchewan residents died in the week of February 6th to the 12th who had tested positive for COVID-19. The province’s weekly report says the week prior to that, there were 22 deaths.
Just to make things a little more complicated, hospitalizations are reported in a different time period. In the week leading up to Wednesday, there were 410 people in the hospital with the virus, and increase of 26 from the previous week. From that 410, there were 33 in intensive care, which is a rise of seven.
The province says there were 39.9 COVID-like illness patients per 1,000 emergency department visits, which is a decrease from 47.1 the previous week.
