Five people have been arrested and charged from two drug trafficking investigations this month in Saskatoon. On February 1st, a 37 year old man and 28 year old woman were taken into custody without incident and after a search warrant on O’Neil Crescent and in the 200 block of Hassard Close. The Police Service Drug Unit reports that almost 60 grams of cocaine was seized, over $10,000 cash, cell phones, digital scales and packaging consistent with street level drug sales. A 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2014 Ford Fusion were also seized.

The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000. Three others are facing the same charges from a separate investigation which concluded on the 17th.

A 25 year old Alberta man was taken into custody outside a business in the 2800 block of Millar Avenue, and a search warrant was executed at a suite in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue South, where a 26 year old British Columbia man and a 21 year old Saskatoon man were arrested. Police say ten grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale was seized, along with almost $15,000 in cash, score sheets, cell phones and a 2013 Ford Focus.
