Pierceland RCMP have a 38 year old man in custody after a barricaded man incident. It began around two o’clock Sunday afternoon at a residence on the Big Island Lake Cree Nation with the man threatening to harm himself. RCMP say the man was known to be dangerous and, as a result, asked motorists and residents to avoid the area. Jonathan Dufraine was taken into custody around 10 o’clock last night. There were no injuries. Dufraine was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in relation to the death of Zane Kiseyinewakup on October 2nd at the First Nation. Dufraine is charged with Second Degree Murder.
