Statistics Canada says residential construction investment in Saskatchewan rose nine per cent in August. Only Manitoba and Nova Scotia outperformed that. The national average was a rise of only 1.8 per cent. Total investment in this province was nearly $162 million. On the non-residential side, investment was up 0.1 per cent. The national average was an increase of 0.5 per cent. Four provinces did worse than ours. Total investment here rang in at $134 million.
