Checking the Highway Hotline is advised with “travel is not recommended” on highways in Saskatchewan.

Snow will continue today with total accumulations of 5 to 15 cm by evening.

Environment Canada says a low pressure system tracking along the International Border will continue to bring snow to most of southern Saskatchewan today.

The national forecaster predicts a broad area of significant accumulations roughly following a line from Lloydminster through North Battleford, Saskatoon, and then to Moosomin. Total snowfall in this corridor will be in the 10 to 15 cm range by evening. This band of snow will slowly push northeastward and weaken through the day.

There is a second line of snowfall which is narrower but more intense running north of Highway 13. This second line will bring a quick 5 to 10 cm of snow early this morning.

Areas outside of this should expect 5 to 10 cm of snow.

The heavy snow in the Kindersley region will occur well north of the town of Kindersley.
