The Saskatchewan Senior Women’s and Senior Men’s Curling Championships continue today and run through Sunday in Aberdeen. The Senior Women’s division involves seven teams in a round-robin plus playoffs format. The Senior Men’s event is a 12-team modified triple knock-out plus Page Playoffs format. Today’s schedule has Senior Women’s draws at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. while there are four Senior Men’s draws at 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The Tim Horton’s Brier, Canadian Men’s Curling Championship, starts tonight and runs through Sunday, March 13th in Lethbridge. There are 18 teams taking part, 14 provincial and territorial champions plus the defending champion and three wild-card squads. The field is split into two pools of nine teams each for preliminary round-robin play, followed by playoffs. Among the 18 teams are foursomes skipped by Saskatchewan champion Colton Flasch of Saskatoon-Nutana and wild card entrant Matt Dunstone of Regina. Both are in Pool A. On their schedules today…
