The City of Prince Albert says a subdivision known as “The Yard” District is taking shape. Another three parcels of the 80 acre development have been approved. This district will be home to the city’s new arena and aquatic recreation centre. City Council reviewed an update of the project during a meeting last week with the developer saying sales and interest in the development are very strong.

The location for the recreation centre was selected in part because of its potential for future development and taxation revenue opportunities as future businesses locate to the area to serve residents and visitors for events and tournaments. The next steps for the subdivision will be to finalize the roadway network and zoning the area.
