At approximately 4:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Melville RCMP were called out to a collision between a train and a vehicle on Highway #9 east of Waldron.
The driver of the vehicle, a 65-year-old man from Ochapowace First Nation, was declared deceased at the scene.
There are no updates on the conditions of the three youths who were in the vehicle and were taken to hospital with injuries. There were no reported injuries from personnel on the train.
Highway #9 was closed for about five hours. Melville RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
