Meadow Lake RCMP are investigating a shooting that took place at a home Saturday night.

Police responded to a home in the 600 block of Sergent Avenue in Meadow Lake around 11:30 after receiving a report of a firearm being discharged.

Six people were inside the home at the time of the shooting and no one was injured. The preliminary investigation revealed that a single shot from a high caliber firearm was fired at the residence.

A light tan, possibly white-coloured SUV is believed to have been involved in the incident. The SUV was last seen driving east toward Sergent Avenue before turning north at the corner of 6th Street.

The RCMP are asking anyone who was in the area between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. with information that could help identify the SUV or its occupants to contact the Meadow Lake detachment or Crime Stoppers.
