Two more charges of sexual assault have been laid against a 60 year old man, from an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Sex Crimes Unit. To date, four charges have been laid by Saskatoon Police and seven from the Saskatchewan RCMP.
This began in April of last year, when it was reported to the Police Service that a woman had been sexually assaulted. Police say Cecil Wolfe had worked under the pretext of being a traditional healer or medicine man. The Saskatchewan RCMP then began investigating outside of Saskatoon.
RCMP reported last month they believed there may be more alleged victims over the last twenty years in Loon Lake, Blaine Lake, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, and Saskatoon and area, so victims are encouraged to contact the police. Wolfe’s next court date is Wednesday morning in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
