The Saskatoon Police Service says their checkstop on Saturday night resulted in two suspended drivers; one for alcohol and one for cannabis. Two other drivers were also charged with driving while suspended.

In addition to a check stop Friday night by Corman park Police and Vanscoy Police, Corman Park Police charged an impaired driver on Friday afternoon after getting a 911 RID call from Highway 16. In addition, a second driver was charged with being impaired after getting pulled over early Saturday morning on Highway 41 by Corman Park Police officers.

Meanwhile, Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan says a speed of 111 km/h equaled an $809 fine for a driver who was pulled over. How was that possible? The driver didn’t slow to 60 km/h when passing a stopped emergency vehicle with its lights in operation.
