The provincial government says it is providing another 1.8 million dollars to some Saskatchewan school divisions for the remainder of this school year.

The government says this is to alleviate additional substitute teacher and other school-based employee costs that are incurred in the 2021-22 school year.

The french school board, Conseil des ecoles Fransaskoises, will receive more than $120-thousand. Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is slated to get $94,340 while Saskatoon Public Schools, which is the largest school division in the province, will receive $302,670.

By comparison, the Regina School Division will get $156,800. In Prince Albert the Catholic school system can expect an additional $14,880 while Saskatchewan Rivers School division will see more than $47-thousand. And Prairie Spirit school division is receiving $56,520.
