Prince Albert Police rescued a man just before the noon hour last Sunday who was in severe distress and experiencing an emotional crisis. The incident happened at the train bridge in Prince Albert. Police say the man refused to speak to officers for sometime before eventually nodding in response to questions and accepting a coffee. After around 45 minutes, a trained negotiator was brought into help. The man eventually accepted help and was assisted off the bridge where he was connected with an officer of the crisis team, who took him for something to eat prior to going to the hospital for an assessment.
