No more mask mandate at City of Saskatoon facilities as of next Monday.
That decision was made at yesterday’s Council meeting, but with a twist from the original recommendation from Administration, which had suggested removing the mandate for all facilities and Saskatoon Transit.
Emergency Planning Director, Pamela Goulden-McLeod reported that the recommendation would put the city in alignment with what is happening elsewhere.
The City’s local medical health officer supported the recommendation.
Instead, Council voted to end the mandate for all city facilities but still require them for Saskatoon Transit.
The City still encourages mask use with free masks available at facilities and on buses.
