Saskatoon police have a 26-year-old man in custody after he was allegedly observed speeding on College Drive around 2:45 this morning (wed). The Air Support Unit was able to track and locate the vehicle in the 500 block of Central Avenue, where it was left abandoned. The plane was able to locate the driver and direct officers on the ground to him, where he was then taken into custody.
Upon further investigation, the 26-year-old man was found to be in possession of 11.1 grams of crack cocaine, over $1000 in cash, a scale, cell phone and other materials consistent with drug trafficking. A search of the vehicle found two imitation BB handguns along with ammunition.
The man faces multiple charges including dangerous driving.
