The St. Brieux Fire Department responded to a fire this week at Willow Point Resort Properties where they found a single level home with smoke billowing from the roof line.

By the time firefighters located the source of the smoke the fire had extended to other rooms and throughout the attic. Fire crews then attacked the blaze from outside protecting surrounding exposures.

At this time a cause of the fire has not been determined. The St. Brieux Fire Department says a fire investigation team from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency has been on site trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire.

Both Melfort and Kinistino Fire Departments provided support in fighting the fire.
